 Growing up in the North Central United States, I photographed my young siblings and anything else that interested me.

​

Later, I worked various jobs in the field of accounting while admiring the art of other people. Poring over issues of National Geographic on the bus and reading the social media posts of the magazine contributors became a part of my daily commute.

​

While on a road trip I took with my spouse crossing parts of the American Southwest, I took the usual travel pics with my iPhone7. Something started to emerge in me.

 

I noticed how the sun collaborated with rock formations in Monument Valley to create contrast in light and shadow. Seeing what my favorite landscape photographers shared with my own eyes, a passion for photography started to grow. ​  

​

​At home, I noticed patterns everywhere created by objects and the light of the sun, moon and artificial lighting in our home. My desire to explore with photography grew to include the art of the images that resulted from these patterns.

​

After leaving the field of accounting and moving to Portugal in order to pursue my own career path, I know where my groove is. The experience changes with location, but for me, I enjoy creating images, videos, sounds and journal entries to tell my whole story.
